Edwards Y Ca in PMG Gem Uncirculated 65 EPQ.
This is a beautiful example of this 5 Pesos remainder from an elusive issuer. Heavy geometric lathe work comprises the border design in dark black ink, while the central design is in blue and orange. At left is a portrait of a woman, while at right an allegorical cherub is seen on a sailing ship holding an astrolabe. The reverse of the note shows a tri-color design of green, orange, and brown ink. At left and right ends are facing head busts, with “CINCO” at center and “5” counters above & below. This is a scarce note, and one that is missing from many advanced collections of Chilean paper money. PMG comments “Counterfoil Included”. PMG Pop 1/No Others Graded.
