With our ANA auction recently completed and our August Hong Kong sale just wrapping up, we now focus on our next offering of attractive ancient and world coinage—our October Collectors Choice Online (CCO) auction. This sale, scheduled for 22-23 October, will feature numerous well-cultivated collections, with a particular focus upon North and South America.
The Mayer Collection of Canadian NGC Registry sets features exceptional Canadian dollars, offering important rarities and varieties in conditions that are seldom seen. From America’s southern border is the Sonoran Sunset Collection, exhibiting a strong Mexican crown-sized theme with issues from the mid-late 19th and early 20th centuries—many of which display majestic iridescent toning and offer great eye appeal.
Traveling further south, we are pleased to present the Cerro Catedral Collection, an array of higher grade Uruguayan coinage—mostly silver and copper—with a nod to the earlier issues and their various die pairings. Additionally, the coins of Simón Bolívar, mostly represented through the coinage of Venezuela, will comprise a strong offering.
Also consigned is the Regent Crest Collection, an impressive group of over 100 British selections that span five centuries. Of particular note in this collection (exceptionally focused upon copper issues), is a cluster of Farthing Patterns of Queen Anne. Of further interest to the collector of British is a collection of Mint State Conder Tokens, many of which have an architectural theme to their design motif.
