Beginning on Tuesday May 3, at 10 AM Hong Kong Time (Monday May 2, 7PM PST) the sale will run through Monday May 16 and features 18 separate sessions.
As part of the sale, we’re thrilled to introduce our first Rarities Night in Hong Kong. Mindfully curated, this session consists of over 250 lots of the finest machine-struck Chinese coins on the market. While exceptional coins appear throughout the session, items from the Kairos Collection are perhaps the most notable. While small in quantity, this assemblage showcases types at the zenith of their quality and beauty.
Today we feature one of the highlights of the Kairos Collection: an exceptional Chinese Silver Pattern Dollar that has been graded by PCGS as Specimen-67 (lot 51163). This piece displays the signature of famous Italian engraver, L. Giorgi. There is light die polishing on the surface, which is to be expected and does not distract from the coin in any fashion.
