Henrik Holt Christensen is Danish and specializes in North Atlantic banknotes and coins. When he was 12 years old his grandmother started sharing her collection with him. Henrik’s collecting interests expanded greatly as he traveled beyond Denmark while working as an engineer, experiences that fostered his passion for World Currency. His specialties include Greenland, Faeroes Island, Iceland and all the Scandinavian countries from early vintage "Viking Kings" to modern coins and currency. Henrik has focused on these countries since his early days of collecting.
Christensen’s professional background is in manufacturing engineering, where he has a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master’s in Business Finance/Manufacturing Investments. He worked to address challenges within the automotive manufacturing, oil and gas, hydraulic systems, mining, medical device, and electronics industries. Henrik possess global experience, working in Denmark, Scandinavia, Germany, Poland, England, and South Africa, and he is fluent in five languages, including Danish, Swedish, Norwegian, German and English.
Pursuing his dream of working in the numismatic hobby, in 1998 Christensen started his own company and began traveling in Europe to collector shows, buying and selling world paper money. In 2014, he moved to the United States with his wife and family, and participated in American coin and currency shows. Today Henrik lives with his wife and two children on a farm in Nebraska.
