This monumental offering of ancient and world coins, medals, and world currency features over 6,200 lots spread across 11 sessions (both live and internet) scheduled for January 12 through 18, with total estimates surpassing $12 million.
Historic Trial of the Pyx Coins Presented by Stack’s Bowers Galleries on Behalf of The Royal Mint
Stack's Bowers Galleries is honored to once again partner with The Royal Mint of the United Kingdom for an auction sale of historic British numismatics. Presented in February 2024 will be a special auction of coins that have been tested and evaluated as part of the annual Trial of the Pyx, an ancient and rigorous evaluation ceremony with origins that stretch back over seven centuries. This is the first time these Trial of the Pyx test coins will be presented in a public auction, and it is sure to draw attention from collectors and investors around the world.
Collectible Market Qualified Accepting Submissions at the January 2024 FUN Show
Collectible Market Qualified (CMQ), a new service identifying the highest quality graded coins in the market, will be accepting submissions at the upcoming 2024 Florida United Numismatists Convention, Wednesday, January 3 through Saturday, January 6 at Table #830. The first 500 coins submitted before the close of the show on Thursday will be delivered on site Friday afternoon. As a further benefit, the first 100 clients who submit coins for review will receive two free CMQ submissions and two free Coins In Motion submissions.
