During
our first Collector’s Choice Online Auction of the year for World paper money,
we are offering an abundance of notes valued at over $1,000. Of those notes,
there is a handful in the $5,000 and above range, making this a sale that will
attract the attention of collectors and dealers.
One
of the special pieces in our sale is a DC-21c 5 Dollar note from Canada. No
seal, series B. These 1912 “Train Notes” are among the most sought after large
size Canadian designs. A stunning blue color used at both face and back is noted
here with all the intricate detail readily available. The original paper
throughout is confirmed by the “EPQ,” designation by PMG and the Gem
grade is cemented by the excellent centering and margins, which for this issue
is hard to come by.
The
sale will start May 17th at 9:00 AM Pacific Time. Lot viewing will be held May
11-12 and 15-16 in our California office.
