30225, an India P-R6 Reserve Bank of India 100 Rupees ND (1959) in PMG
About Uncirculated 50. This note sits proudly atop PMG’s pop report at the time
of cataloging. PMG has graded just 12 examples of this Pick number, challenging
collectors who wish to acquire one of these treasures.
This example has vibrant red color with orange and yellow
hues throughout. Prefix HA with HAJ arched on each side of the arched Reserve
Bank of India cornice atop the note. Issuing office of Bombay noted on the
bottom. H.V.R. IYENGAR signature at the Governor’s panel.
Ashoka column serves as both the watermark and right
vignette, with noticeable lathe work throughout the design. Reserve Bank of
India seal type 1 on the reverse with a type 4A language panel at center. 17.1
X 10.7 cm in size with just some pinholes, which should be expected for the
type, and some stains that are noted on the holder. PMG comments "Staple
Holes at Issue, Spindle Holes."
