High-grade Peace dollars do not receive quite the attention that their high-grade Morgan counterparts do. However, we would argue that this should change. This lustrous and brilliant 1934 Peace silver dollar has been graded by PCGS as Mint State 67, with a current population of nine coins and none finer. The 1934 Peace dollar features the smallest mintage of any issue in the series dated in the 1930s. There were 954,057 dollars struck and the present example is the finest of the bunch. This 1934 Peace silver dollar will be offered in the Stack’s Bowers Galleries Official Auction of the ANA as Lot 4147.
Coins in Motion seeks to enable collectors, bidders, and consignors to accurately appreciate how Stack’s Bowers Galleries coins look in hand. Ultra-high resolution animations depict how luster moves over the coin’s surfaces, while the rotating motion allows for any possible imperfections to be revealed.
