On December 16, 1773, the Sons of Liberty in Boston, Massachusetts disguised themselves as Native Americans, boarded British merchant ships, and dumped thousands of pounds of tea into Boston Harbor in protest of the Tea Act of May 10, 1773. Public anger in response to this act was one of many catalysts for the American Revolution. This year, 2023, marks the 250th anniversary of this event. The City of Boston in conjunction with the Boston Tea Party 250th Anniversary Committee has planned a series of events for tourists during the week leading up the anniversary on December 16, 2023. Come to Boston for the celebration of anniversary of the historical event that helped accelerated and intensify colonial support for the American Revolution!
