The Stack’s Bowers Galleries team just returned from an exciting week at the ANA Convention in Pittsburgh. It was wonderful seeing so many enthusiastic collectors in person at the World’s Fair of Money, both friends we’ve known for decades and those we met for the first time. The show was extremely active with our auction lot viewing, our live auction session of the Rhone Set from the popular Fairmont Collection, and all the buying, selling and consigning on the bourse floor. We are very appreciative of the many kind words our clients conveyed to our organization.
One of the highlights for our firm was launching a brand new title written by currency expert Nicholas J. Bruyer: U.S. Treasury Notes 1812-1865: An Illustrated History. Nick hosted a book signing at the Stack’s Bowers Galleries bourse table on Thursday and Friday that was very well attended. In fact, we sold out of the books we had initially sent to the show! More information about this exciting and informative new title can be found here. The book can be ordered on Amazon.com.
