Did you know Stack’s Bowers Galleries will be offering an 1861 Confederate States of America half dollar from the Henry P. Kendall Foundation Collection? This coin is one of just four original examples struck and will be sold publicly for the first time, having been a part of this cabinet since its acquisition from Lester Merkin in 1971. The collection will be offered in March 2015 in conjunction with the Whitman Coin & Collectibles Expo in Baltimore, Maryland.
