Ferrendelli Collection features a complete die variety set of quarter eagles from 1796 through 1834, with an average certified grade for the 29 coins of AU-55.77, a remarkably high figure given the rarity of many of the dates. A set of quarter eagles this complete is immediately reminiscent of the Harry W. Bass, Jr. Collection sales we offered in 1999 and 2000. Also included are date runs of half eagles from 1795 through 1834 and eagles from 1795 through 1804, with numerous die varieties included for nearly every date, including both the rare 9 Leaves and the 13 Leaves Reverse styles of the 1795 eagle. There is also an equally engaging collection of Classic Head gold quarter eagles of 1834 through 1839, including all the branch mint issues and numerous die varieties, and featuring a Choice Proof-64 1836. The Ferrendelli Collection also offers the Classic Head half eagles of 1834 to 1838. This is truly one of the most remarkable gold collections we have had the honor to present in recent memory.
