Our official September 2021 Hong Kong World Paper Money Sale saw spirited bidding and exceptional prices realized for top tier notes. Director of World Paper Money Aris Maragoudakis commented on the strength of the sale: "The September Hong Kong auction saw three major collections sold – the Hobart Collection, the Ricardo Collection, and the Don Allen Collection. These cabinets offered new, fresh pieces that satisfied collector desire for hard-to-find notes and varieties. Other consignors provided an incredible amount of hard-to-find Empire and PRC varieties, many of which we have not sold in our lengthy auction history. The market is booming, and the sale was extremely strong, with most of the lots selling for well over the high estimate. In total we sold over $2.1 million worth of banknotes, and well over $30 million worth of numismatic items across the entire Hong Kong auction. We cannot wait to see what notes from the upcoming December Hong Kong Collectors Choice auction will realize!"
