Our March Hong Kong Sale, held at the Mira Hotel, March
25 at 1:00 PM HKT contains many highlights, some
of which have been featured here.
An additional highlight is found in lot 50372. It is a
Japanese Occupation of Russia WWII note in a PMG AU 55 EPQ holder. This design
type can often be overlooked, as occupational change notes are numerous. This
rare 50 Kopeks note, however, is the first we can recall handling and is in a
terrific, original About Uncirculated state. It offers a strong impression, with
deep detail of the geometric lathe design and ornate underprint. It carries a
modest estimate of $8,000 to $12,000.
To view this highlight along with the rest of our March
2019 Hong Kong currency auction, please go to our site or click here. Once
again we present an auction that will appeal to both collectors and dealers,
one that offers something for everyone. Many of the items have never been
offered publicly, and others are surfacing for the first time in decades.
Please contact us prior to the auction with any questions regarding these
treasures.
