In our upcoming April
Hong Kong sale at the Mira Hotel, we are offering three different specimen
varieties for the 10,000 design in three separate lots. Pick 7s is in a PMG 55
Net, Previously Mounted holder without a red specimen overprint. Pick 7s is in
a PCGS GSG 55 holder with the red specimen overprint. Finally a Pick 7s (CTS)
as a red color trial is in a PCGS GSG uncirculated Details holder with comments
of Hinged and Archival Pinholes.
These outstanding items
are of the 1953 highest denomination design type. The true specimen notes show
in a large format with an open design showing pleasing floral work and large
guilloche at center. Deep green portrait vignette of Queen Elizabeth II is at
right and there are ornate corner frames with denomination at lower left and
upper right. There are solid zero serial numbers and perforation diagonally at
center on the PMG Note, and a Red Specimen diagonal at center of the PCGS GSG
note. The high denomination color trial shows mostly red ink, with a
black specimen overprint, denomination and printed overprints.
These notes all fall in
the five-figure range and this offering should excite dealers and collectors
alike as it is an unusual opportunity to purchase three different varieties of
